Aviation Engineering & Aerospace Sciences

Owned by the Queensland Government and located at Brisbane International Airport, Aviation Australia conducts specialised courses in aviation engineering and flight attending (Cabin Crew).
Current industry clients include Qantas, Virgin Blue, Boeing, Cathay Pacific, Air New Zealand and many more. This is a professional training centre used by major airlines for staff training.

campus

From 2007, Aviation Australia opened their Aircraft Englineering Training Centre to international students who are interested in gaining a professional industry qualification. Engineering students will have the opportunity to train in the same facilities as the airlines use and will be trained by former or current airline engineering staff. Training includes practical experience working on a range of aircraft on campus including a functioning 727 aircraft owned by the school. Training conforms to the EASA standard and covers the theoretical component of the internationally recognised Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence.

Diploma (or Dual Diploma) of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and an EASA Certificate of Examination Completion.

EASA Part 145 work experience - reduces the time required before you can apply for the EASA Licence to only 2 years.

In the near future graduates will be given the opportunity to apply for Aviation Australia's internship programme in order to gain employment in Australia. This programme which is currently under trial, utilises the 442 Occupational Trainee visa (http://www.immi.gov.au/students/sponsored/otv/) and employment is arranged through Aviation Australia's Employment Services division.

Aviation Australia can not "guarantee" employment or a place in the programme as positions are dependant on employers' needs and number of applicants in each group of graduates. We do however, expect to be able to assist most students who wish to enter this programme.
